Homework tasks may take a variety of forms. For example, revision, research tasks, written tasks, practical tasks, online learning may be set (although access to the internet must be considered), and many subjects now use the ‘takeaway homework menus’ where students have choices over the tasks they complete. In Year 11, tasks should be focused on revision, recall of information and recap of prior learning in preparation for the exams.
Homework tasks will be communicated to students through email/ MS Teams. Students should regularly check their email accounts and Teams groups for assignments. Parents will receive notifications of assignments as they are added.
Opportunities for students without internet access to complete homework are provided at lunchtimes and after school through homework clubs.
